Snarky Puppy honors Rick during North Sea Jazz festival

Snarky Puppy is a Brooklyn based fusion band awarded with 3 Grammy Awards. They mainly play a mix of jazz, funk and soul. They play instrumental songs that technically offer many challenges for many musicians worldwide.

Similarly for Rick. After asking permission from band member Justin Stanton, Rick has practiced the song "Mr Montauk" to audition the Conservatory and Rock Academy with this song.

And successfully as you know.

On Friday 13 July Snarky Puppy performed together with the Metropole Orkest at the North Sea Jazz festival in Rotterdam. They have dedicated this performance to Rick.

It is very special that a proffesional band from America gives attention to a very sad story from the small Netherlands. Although we are aware that famous artists often receive requests to bring foundations and charities to the attention, it turns out that nothing is impossible.

The members of Snarky Puppy are, besides great musicians, also people with the heart in the right place.
We would therefore like to thank Justin Stanton, Michael League, Jamie Margulies and all other band members for their efforts to bring CVID to the attention.

Playing at the North Sea Jazz festival was also a big dream for Rick. He managed to reach the stage with this initiative. Thanks for this.....
